Davidson's Days Of Disaster

The last few weeks of the season have seen it all go horribly wrong for Blackburn Rovers, but spare a thought for Callum Davidson, who has suffered more than most. The left-back has been plagued by bad luck since he signed in a 1.75 million dream move from St. Johnstone in January.

His spell at Ewood Park turned into a disaster for the young Scot as he spent three months overcoming a hamstring injury and then when he was finally handed a first-team shirt, he was pitted against a rampant Arsenal strikeforce that cracked home four goals before half-time.

To make matters worse, Davidson then pulled a hamtsring and limped out of the game and the rest of the season.

"It hasn't been the best of times for me," he admitted to MATCH. "When I came to Rovers I had a hamstring injury that finally cleared up and I was able to get some reserve-team games in. I got into the first-team squad and was really happy to get my big chances to play against Arsenal, but it wasn't the best of debuts and one I would rather forget.

"I did enjoy getting out on to the park for such an occasion, but after 15 minutes it was a nightmare. To be honest, I'm glad the league season has come to an end and I'm already looking forward to next term and making a fresh start
